Another in the ongoing series… This one arrived via email yesterday :)
Hi i want a car meet. i live in london but cant have you at my house. i have a very nice fiat punto very clean will you meet me for an hour i can come to you and collect you. soon thanks.
I declined him politely but I’m still smiling at the thought. Apart from the fact that I dont offer ‘car-meets’ I genuinely dont think I could get into a Fiat Punto. And no, not because of any car related snobbery, simply because when you’re 36stone plus you dont fit in hardly anywhere…
When being driven about in friends cars they often find that getting their car in first or third gear can be tricky, and likewise applying the handbrake is almost impossible unless I’m already out of the passenger seat.
I spend a lot of time driving my own car and although its a large saloon it’s a tight squeeze getting in it and behind the wheel which is is why I’m certain that my ass and a Fiat Punto seat are not likely to be in close contact any time soon.
More to the point though, even if I -could- get into the front seat of a Fiat Punto there certainly wouldn’t be enough space to do anything fun. Car-meets therefore will be remaining off the menu for the foreseeable future.* If you fancy a romp in a King Size bed though I’ll be back in London on the 3rd to the 8th of September!
Love Ruby xx

It’s nice the Punto is clean: chivalry’s not dead after all.

I thought so :)
But then speaking as someone who uses her car as a mobile shoe storage unit I probably should just keep quiet! And before you ask why all women keep shoes in their car I don’t know, we just do!
